“The Fault in Our Stars”

“Oh! I wouldn’t mind _________. It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you.”

In the above line, I just left a blank so that you can adjust your loved ones name & then read it. It sounds beautiful, isn’t it? “Fault in our stars”, a novel and now a movie too. I just completed with this beautiful movie. The story is about a sixteen-year-old cancer patient, who is forced by her parents to attend a support group, where she subsequently meets and falls in love with the seventeen-year-old guy, an ex-basketball player and amputee.

Instead of talking about the story, I would like to share my thoughts, what I came across and what happens in real life instead of reel life. We all come across good and bad situations and that’s why its called life. There comes a time when you realize not everything is in your control. At times we all are just too focused on what’s not in our control. We think about the pain more than the happiness which came to us.

Life is a box with uncertain stuffs, you never know where life will take you. You never know what’s going to happen in your life, and you never know what’s going to happen in someone’s else life either. I believe that everything happens for a reason, things go wrong so that you can appreciate when they’re right. You believe lies so that you can learn to trust no one but yourself and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together. I think it takes much more longer to fix stuffs.

Recognize that while some things are in your control, other things aren’t. Let go of the things you can’t control – they aren’t worth occupying your mind over. Instead, focus on what is in your power. Before we can make a change in our lives, we have to shift our responsibility to aspects of our life that we previously didn’t take responsibility for.

I hope one day cancer will only be a zodiac sign..

  1. Letting go of control when it comes to romantic relationships is so incredibly difficult for me. I think (I KNOW) I like to be the one in control, and trusting that I am being taken care of and do not need to figure out my future, when it comes to men, is incredibly scary. But I’m working on it! Thank you for sharing this post. ❤
