“Smiling has always been easier, than explaining why you are Sad”

People think they know you. They think they know how you’re handling a situation. But the truth is no one knows, know one knows after you leave them, when you’re lying in bed or sitting over your breakfast alone and all you want to do is cry or scream. They don’t know what’s going on inside your head- the mind – the numbing cocktail of anger and sadness & guilt. They just don’t know. So you pretend & say you’re doing great when you’re really not. And it makes everyone feels better. But does it change your feeling? Your pain goes away? Your smile becomes genuine?

The answer is No,We all have chapters we would rather keep unpublished. Why you believe in faking a smile? Because its very tough for you to explain to each one of them, that how bad you feel, the nights which you cried and the loneliness.

The worst feeling is pretending you don’t care about something, when really it’s all you think about. I know how it feels like, when you don’t have anyone to share your feelings with. People are their but you know that they will never understand what you are going through. Many of them are just their to make fun of it. I know it hurts but its time for you to move, why to just act like you’re happy when you’re not.

You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It wont happen automatically. You will have to rise up and say, I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.

You  might not get over it but you will get through it.

  3. I feel that it is not by chance that I came across this post today and that somehow the universe has placed it in my path. These days, more and more, I find that even a fake smile is just too hard.

    1. I am happy that eventually the post found you! 🙂 Contrary to your saying, I find that the fake smile is in bulk, hiding something or the other behind it. Just hope for good.

    1. Hey Abena! Thanks for visiting the blog. Unfortunately, your comments were in spam, I just pulled them to the correct place.
You have grown up, and you know how to deal with most of the situations. Hope your heart always remains kind. 🙂

  4. I can relate to this post so much. There are seasons in life which feel particularly lonely and I am in one right now. I have friends/ family but a lot of the time I feel like the only one who truly understands is God.

    1. Happens to each individual, and rightly said, its a phase. Keep you chin up, be your best friend and keep expressing, things will be back to normal, i.e., all smiles back. Smile now please. 🙂
