A scarlet colored sun is about to set and here I am in a park close by the swimming pool center. My friend called me and told that few of his friends are here today and he wants a gathering. My friend and the guys I was told about were already seated at the place and were enjoying themselves, I also joined them. 🙂
After few talks and rewind of memories, a guy came up with some questions. 😉 I heard from my friend that this guy is a good observant. The questions were about sharing your thoughts. It sounded extremely great activity.
And he started, 😉
First question came up for a guy who’s exceptionally funny. 😀 He makes everyone laugh. He was asked, ‘What is the one thing you’re trying extremely hard to accept?’ 😉 He looked at the observant and said, ‘at the moment.. you!!’ 😀 Everyone chuckle and then he answered ‘Hard to accept that life is too short not to have the perfect coffee and haircut you want.’ 😀
The next question to a other person, ‘If you want to write a note for yourself, what it would be?’ Uncommonly he replied, ‘at 17 or 21, nobody is worth stressing over. Leave people behind, move on. It is time to find yourself, the world is yours and.. life goes on.’ This was marvelous thought to make a note of. 🙂
It was my turn now. 😛 I was asked, ‘A type of mistake which you would never want to do?’ I took a couple of seconds and said, ‘I could never cheat on anyone. It’s a wrong doing I couldn’t live with. Knowing that you destroy someone’s trust is bad, but destroying someone’s perspective on love is far too worse.’ 🙂
Another question was thrown to the funny guy, ‘If you want to gift a book to your friend sitting next to you. What will be the book named?’ He laughed at the question first. 😀 He knows the person next to him very well. He shortly replied, ‘:D How to start a conversation to make friends. Very much he is in need of this.’ 😀
The last question was asked to my friend who was just listening to everyone’s thoughts.
The question to him was, ‘Tell one of the worst part of not being friends with someone anymore?’.
All of a sudden the smile was lost. 😐 I was aware of the condition he was in the recent past. He didn’t looked at anyone and it appeared that he was dragged back in memories. He answered, ‘One of the worst part is you cannot talk to them. You cannot tell them all the little things you used to share with them. You cannot tell them as they are no longer part of your life. It is sad because you used to tell them everything but now you can’t and it is weird.’ 😦
To ease out the serious faces around, he brought back the smile on his face and pretended that everything is all right. The other guys also got relieved after seeing the smile back on his face. How easily he managed to convince his mates who were unaware of his state. It is explainable that people smile to hide pain, sometimes people laugh to hide the tears.
A smile can hide so much pain. 😐
That was a beautiful post. Some real thought out thoughts there. Good job!

Absolutely Pragati!
People don’t share it because they have a feeling that no one will understand them. And sometimes its very hard for them because nobody notices how broken they are on inside.
I hope someday the pain inside them goes away.
Thanks for sharing the thought, Pragati!

Hey Stephany!
I can understand how it feels like. Yes, its bad.
I have seen people who try their hardest to be good enough. These people deserve so much more than they get.
I want them to open up and believe their family and friends.
Friends are always ready for listening to you, just share how you feel. 🙂
Smile. 🙂

A I just followed your blog after reading the poem you wrote- “You Know it’s Over When…” I realized it was an older post and found this one. I was in need to hear this. I think I will use this exercise in my own group that gathers on sundays. It’s great to share those little things with people, which is why I’m so open, but it’s disheartening to find you can’t do it with the familiarity of a close and personal someone.
For me I find it hard to consider my worth after separation, but thats been a personal problem with me for a while. Hehe.
It’s all humorous in the end. That funny man is very smart.

Hey, Thank you so much for following me. 🙂
Yea, ‘You know it’s over’ is an old post but still it’s pretty close to me.
That’s wonderful if you’re going to carry out such exercise, I too liked it, it’s superb. 🙂
Yes, opening up to someone is very hard, and it feels bad for them because they are fighting very hard on inside.
Oh! It is hard to find one’s worth but also it is important to know a lot of things which are not worthy for you. I hope you start to feel better. 🙂
😀 The funny guy is really amazing. 😉
Thank you for reading! 🙂

I can really relate to this… from the age of 16 I had a solid big group of girlfriends. Now they are all living really far away for uni… or we have fallen out. I have one best friend now who was from that group but we are not as tight as we used to be.
It is a shame and something I used to be upset about, but if we were all a big group of friends still, I doubt it would matter because it would be too much to maintain now.
Everything happens for a reason, and when one door closes it is so a better one can open. Truly!
Great post! 🙂

Hey!
It’s wonderful that you have the memories of your friend circle when you were in higher grade. Rightly said, it would have been tough to keep the group intact for so long! But it would have been great if a couple of them could have last long. 🙂
Absolutely, the time has come where we have realized, its less important to have more friend and more important to have the real ones. 🙂
Hope you find a wonderful friend who supports you and encourages you always. 🙂
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 🙂

Yea, I agree with you, it is like keeping ones head up, faking a smile and moving on!
But what I also feel is, it is the smile they don’t believe in, inside they feel like screaming. At times the scream inside can be seen in form of tears in their eyes.
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thought. 🙂

Like silence, a smile is misinterpreted too! You think deep, sensible, and right. I like it. Though I got sad reading this, and the one on silence. Not your fault. Reality hurts. But, it’s all OK. We have to move on always. That’s life!

Oh.. don’t be sad for a moment, please.
Ya, I agree with you, moving on is the best option but what people leave behind is what makes it hard.

Very relatable! And I bet that guy secretly wished to be known by others that he was just faking a smile to hide the sudden burst of sadness inside him

Melody,
I have been with him and have never felt that he is in any kind of pain, except few instances where he was feeling the worse and glimpse of sadness float around him(Like the one described in the post).
He never expresses his sadness, whenever asked, ‘how he is?’ we receive a reply of ‘good’. I have always seen him like a person who takes care of everyone without any expectation. 😐
I hope that hidden sadness inside him diminishes soon.
Thanks for stopping by, Melody. 😊

First of all I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was interested to find out how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing. I’ve had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out there. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

Hey, Thank you! These days, I take a lot of time to come up on internet and write something. So, for me it has been like, if I had a thought or I explored something which aroused some thought in me, I try to directly write it. I don’t hover and dig deep to produce something out. You can give yourself time and write what your heart allows you write. 🙂 Hope it helps!
