And then she paused, and spoke into silence..
“In our generation,
Trust is something that seems to be diminishing with time.
We have trust issues due to past relationships or friendships
that didn’t go well,
so we take them with us and add to the baggage we already
carry. π
The past is called the past for a reason.
It happened, and there is ultimately nothing we can do about it.
But, for some reason, it seems like a hard thing to let go of for some people. π
If we let our pasts define our futures, we will never get ahead.
Continually, going back to what happened can keep you from seeing
what is happening.”

truly said, but past is the reflection of our present and it is what we are made of. We can’t detach it from ourselves till we die, because for a thing to day is going to be a thing of past. Everything which we will be just ignoring saying it’s past, is just adding on to our pages of life and in the end it’s a whole compilation of our self-created book. Isn’t it a beautiful way of seeing to the other side of PAST? π

Very rightly said, Shruti!!
Past definitely helps us directly or indirectly in making of our future with its good and bad. Everything happens for a reason either a disguise or a lesson.
It really is a way of preparing a script of the future. Your thought is a birds eye-view of life.
The current time is all that matters, living in the present and doing our best can make a big difference. π
Hope till the time you had a beautiful past, with some wonderful memories to cherish about. And I wish the present and future holds enormous happiness for you. π

So true it’s not always so bad. I thing he’s referring to those who use the past as a crutch and get stuck in a moment either past glory or past hurt.
But your view is so true too

Beautiful post Ankit. π Your friend is right, the past shapes us for who we are but it doesn’t define us. If we learn the life lessons then the past can be a positive thing to help prepare for a better future. Sometimes we don’t know how heavy the baggage is on our backs until we actually do let it go. Practicing surrender and learning to trust again is a challenge for all of us but it’s what sets us free so we can live in the present moment because really, that’s all we’ve got. π

Very nicely said, the heaviness of that baggage is really something that weighs a lot. Accepting and moving on is a challenge but needs to done at a certain moment of time. The more sooner we accept it, the better it becomes.
Hope you have a very beautiful future ahead. π

Yep, we should keep moving forward , but sometimes we stuck in our past you know for mistake we made or regret the chance we didn’t take. But again our future not define by our past it just something we have to deal with it and learn from it.

Ankit Mishra your post is on point. It hits the core of most emotional issues either positive or negative are usually encapsulated in the past and most times as humans we forget that even though we hurt or fall or break, we can still keep moving and relearning and growing and healing.
