Dear Daddy

Hi 🙂

I hope you are doing great at your end and having an awesome holiday season. 🙂  The year 2015 is about to bid adieu, time to thank for everything it gave us. So, before you get ready with your resolutions for year 2016 and plan out the party for New Year’s eve, I would like to share something similar to what I shared starting this year (Post: Slap Her!).

Recently, I came across a video which depicts how the society and its culture encourages violence against women.
In the five minute video, a unborn baby girl tells her father about all of the harassment and abuse she will suffer at the hands of men during her lifetime.

I won’t go into details and would like to share this video asking you to just give your valuable 5 minutes.

Warning: It’s about boys.

  1. I saw this video about 2 weeks ago. Very powerful. We have to protect our children, both daughters and sons and teach them respect. We must teach our sons to respect females and vise Versa, as well as having them respect themselves.

  2. Thanks a lot for sharing this. It’s so important to think about what we teach our kids. They do what they see, not exactly what we tell them to do.
I’m gone through this in my marriage. He was never satisfied whatever I did. He used to call me hore and other bad things almost everyday and I never cheated on him! Abuse in psychological, fysiological and economic way.
But I left. I am free now and on recovery. In a few days I will write my summery of this year on my blog. And I’m so happy and thankful for my life today. ❤

    1. Lisa, Agree with you on how important it is to teach the generations.
Very sad to hear all about what you have gone through. Saddened. Sometimes the mental pain is hard to be in than the physical pain. Wonder.. To what extend human can go.
Really.. How tough you are. I feel for you. Happy to hear that you are recovering and finding happiness. 😊
Will surely be checking out for your year review post. I know that will have a story of your resurrection.
Hope god showers many reasons for you to smile for. Take care. 😊 Smile.

  3. Words certainly have power and this video shows it. Many of the comments on the Youtube clips seem to oppose it? The main message though is powerful- jokes do harm. Thanks for sharing 🙂

    1. Ah Florence! It happens to people who know what exactly this video reveals. Totally agree, change has to begin, its we who need to glue this lesson in our minds.
      Thanks.

  7. Loved it !! It is strongly put across. It is difficult to express such things explicitly to our parents. We stay in a society, where a rape or an harassment, a woman is blamed for coaxing them. Extremely thankful for sharing this video!

  8. Good post.
I think about this a lot. How women are treated.
The WOMEN who give birth, whether it is a boy or girl. Most of society wants a boy. Sad. And many baby girls are dumped or killed even or tossed away if they do not have doweries.
If…it were not for women….society would NOT exist. They would dry up and blow away.
Women are the central figure around the house. They are the glue that holds the home together. They do multiple tasks all day, everyday. They feed the family. Yet, some are not even acknowledged at all. And they are even hated.
Why do they hate women who give them a child?
Some are treated worse than dogs…and thats pretty bad.
    Funny thing in society though…..
Many things are called mother. Mother earth, mother Russia, and others.
Where would we all be without a mother? Nowhere because we would not exist.
Hate is a terrible thing. Love is what we should know.

    1. Thank you very much for writing this down. It is so true, that women hold a very critical key in society and bringing up the generations. Mother, Sister, daughters are all special to the society and they need to be respected and treated with love.
Glad you like the video. 🙂 Have a nice day!

  9. True video. Will it ever stop?
Parents should always set good examples.
People should always think before they say things or do things they cannot take back.
If someone says some ugly, not nice….please tell them.
Being “cool” doesn’t mean being a fool.

    1. Great Evelyn. 😊
Some good stuffs should remain in the memory. Someday you will share this video with someone else and they will be happy to view it.
Society needs more people who can see the good and the struggle and then teach generations to be open-minded and pay respect to people who deserve their share.
      Thanks for coming up!!
