He prays for her, before he prays for anyone. 🙂

      1. Putting someone before you is definitely not an act of selfishness and it can never be. But that is what I used to tell my husband when he questioned my following certain practices that I did it for my well being and not his because ultimately it would all come back to me. This post reminded me of those instances, when he questioned the practices not because he didn’t believe but because he didn’t want me to suffer in the name of tradition.

    1. At 30:22
“’May I say something please?’ Hima asked. Chairman Hall agreed to let her respond to the vile accusation by the Democrat lawmaker from Detroit. “If that is something you want me to do, I will do it. Can I just say one thing though? If it is a lie, it may change, because a liar has to have a lot of memory power. If it is truth, you can ask me in the middle of the night and it will still be the same thing,” she said looking directly at the horrible lawmaker. The room erupted in cheers!”

  1. That’s beautiful. It reminds me of how when I was little my mom told me i should pray for the wife I would have some day. For the longest time I’d pray that she was kept safe and happy. Knowing nothing about who this person could be, I just remember wanting the the world for them, never imaging who she would be or what she would be like, Really I think I ended up praying to be a good partner, to be something good for her.

  2. This is a beautiful selfless act.

Whoever it may be- one of the most wonderful expressions of love is to put the other first before yourself and/or to make a sacrifice in their honor.

Great post displaying your talent, vision, deepness and creativity.
